Violence erupts mid-air on Ryanair flight

Ryanair flight has to be diverted following a fight between passengers

An ugly scene erupted during a Ryanair flight from Brussels to Malta and resulted in the plane having to be diverted to Pisa.
Two men started causing trouble as the plane was in mid-flight. There was a lot of shouting and raised voices as a man standing in the aisle seemed to be in in some sort of dispute with the people around him.

Suddenly a man rose from his seat and threw a punch at the man in the aisle. He then tried to get through the crowd to land a few more punches.

Another man then tried to jump over the people in front of him in order to get to the man in the aisle.
During the fracas, a stewardess was reportedly struck in the face, as the men had to be restrained by several other passengers and members of staff.
The scene was captured by another passenger on board the flight.
The people in the foreground of the video – who were further away from the incident – had classic expressions on their faces that basically said ‘look at the state of these fools’ as they chuckled along, rolled their eyes and shook their heads.
The captain had to come on to the intercom and tell the passengers that: “This is not acceptable at all.”
A spokesperson for Ryanair told the Independent “This flight from Brussels to Malta (3 Nov) diverted to Pisa after a number of passengers became disruptive in flight.
“The aircraft landed normally and four passengers were removed and detained by police upon arrival, before the aircraft continued to Malta.
“We will not tolerate unruly or disruptive behaviour at any time and the safety and comfort of our customers, crew and aircraft is our number one priority. This is now a matter for local police.”
The video has gone viral – and the people involved in the incident have been widely condemned in the comments sections on social media.
