Comedy stars tease fans with photos taken somewhere in Ireland

The cast of hit comedy It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia have teased fans with a series of posts from Ireland leading to a guessing game of where they are in the country.

The stars have travelled over to Ireland to shoot an episode for the much-anticipated 15th series of the show.

Kaitlin Olson, who plays ‘Sweet Dee’ Reynolds, posted pictures of herself and co-stars Charlie Day, Glenn Howerton and Rob McElhenney enjoying some spectacular coastal scenery.

She wrote: “Location shoot. @alwayssunnyfxx #season15.”

The vague post led to a flurry of fans responses with most trying to guess the exact location of the shoot.

One suggested the background looked like it could be the Cliffs of Moher.

Another fan asked: “Donegal? Kerry? Definitely the Wild Atlantic Way.”

One posted online was happy to go for a big target and simply wrote: “Ah stop that now you’re in Ireland.”

The Irish episode is sure to attract even more attention when it is finally ready for broadcast.

Earlier in the year, the producers put out a last-minute appeal for any Irish Danny DeVito lookalikes, leading to speculation that there will be a story on Frank Reynolds having a long-lost Irish son.

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia has been a huge success around the world since its initial release in 2005.

The show was created by Glenn Howerton and Rob McElhenney, who also star as two of the lead characters. The other main cast members are also contributors to the scripts, meaning It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia has always had a great family spirit amongst the team.

In fact, McElhenney and his co-star Kaitlin Olson got married in 2008, as had fellow stars Charlie Day and Mary Elizabeth Ellis a couple of years earlier.
