Irish summers celebrated in comedy video

Irish summers are famously unpredictable and you can often need both your sunglasses and umbrella in the space of an hour.
Two Irish men have decided to celebrate the country’s temperamental weather by creating a video named Summer in Ireland.

They posted it in to Facebook with the caption: “We usually don’t get great weather during summer here in Ireland…not that it matters to us!”
John and Michael Boyle of Actium Films star in the video. Michael Boyle is also the editor and director. It shows them enjoying various summer activities such as cooking on the barbecue, and playing badminton…mostly under showers of heavy rain.
In the video comments section on YouTube they admitted: “Some of it is real rain, some of it is water from a hose. Because Irish weather is so bloody unpredictable, we only got a few minutes of rain at a time. It never rains when you want it to!”
Take a look at the video below.

This is not the first online video that Michael Boyle has produced. In 2014, he directed the promotional video for Irish student Tommy Bolger, as he bid to become student president at the University of Limerick.
It was a brilliant spoof on the trailer video for the blockbuster movie Wolf of Wall Street starring Leonardo DiCaprio, and racked up well over 300,000 views on YouTube.
It is safe to say we can expect more comical videos from Boyle and his team at Actium Films in the future.
