Anybody who has received an unfair parking fine and then pulled their hair out trying to deal with the authorities will love this video.
It can be extremely frustrating for people when they are given a fine as there doesn’t seem to be a great deal they can do about it other than pay – even if they dispute the fine.
The authorities aren’t interested in people’s disputes and will do their best to make it impossible to complain until the person just gives up and pays.
However, it turns out that they picked on the wrong person when they issued comedian Joe Lycett with a parking fine.
Lycett wasn’t prepared to just accept the fine and stubbornly dug his heels in – and it resulted in a hilarious story.
The clip comes from an episode of the British TV show ‘8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown’. Every week a guest in ’Dictionary Corner’ is invited to tell a story.
The guest in this episode was Lycett who spoke about a time he was given a parking fine. He believed the fine was unfair so explained the lengths he had to go to in order to cancel the fine.
His story had the audience in stitches.
