In the past few months, there have been several musical wedding speeches from Irish best men, and one bridesmaid, that have entertained the guests and become online sensations.
Just when we thought the standard of best man speech songs couldn’t get any better, up stepped Galway best man Andrew Neylon to perform a delightful medley at the wedding of his friends David and Teresa.
The whole thing was captured by professional wedding photographer Paul Duane, who posted it on to his Facebook page with the caption: “One of the best “Best Mans” speeches i have ever had the pleasure of capturing. Andrew really outdid the normal standards and composed a fantastic medley for Teresa and David. Just wonderful.”
It immediately began spreading across the internet like wildfire gathering up thousands of shares and likes.
And no wonder! Andrew really got the wedding party started with his fantastic medley that began with the timeless Backstreet Boys song I Want It That Way. He then drifting into Riptide’s Vance Joy, George Ezra’s Blame It on Me, Taylor Swift’s Shake it Off before finishing back where he started with the Backstreet Boys.
All the lyrics were of course personalised for the happy couple including a story about a dodgy haircut the groom had that resulted in him having to shave his head!
The performance had the wedding guests listening intently on the edge of their seats anxiously waiting for the next punchline, and they were not left disappointed.
