Ed Sheeran fans have waited a long time to see the music superstar join James Corden in his car for the world famous Carpool Karaoke. Well now that wait is finally over.
The Galway Girl star hopped into the passenger seat of Corden’s car for his drive across LA and the two belted out some of his most famous hits.
James Corden has been a revelation as the host of the Late Late Show in the US since he took over the reins from Craig Ferguson in 2015.
One of the main reasons for his success is his Carpool Karaoke feature, which sees him welcome superstar guests into his car and then they drive around chatting and singing together.
Corden’s list of Carpool Karaoke guests is a who’s who of the showbiz industry.
He has shared a tune with music stars including Adele, Jennifer Lopez, One Direction, Justin Bieber, Stevie Wonder, Take That, Selena Gomez and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers amongst others.
Hollywood A-listers George Clooney and Julia Roberts have also joined Corden for a song, as has former First Lady Michelle Obama.
Of course, music fans will recognise that there was still one superstar name missing from that list.
However, Corden has now put that right.
The two sang together as Corden drove around LA in the carpool lane.
Some of Sheeran’s hits that they covered included Shape of You, SING and Thinking Out Loud. They also featured a few other famous hits from other artists that Sheeran helped write.
In between songs, Sheeran explained how his time out travelling and detox from his phone and social media has helped him feel more calm and comfortable with his life.
He also showed off a rather unusual skill involving Malteasers, which if you don’t know, is a light honeycomb chocolate sweet from Britain.
Sheeran’s trick is sort of impressive, without having any real practical use, but certainly worth the watch.
