Ireland is packed with romantic places for couples to visit but it is also has one of the best cities in the world for singles to live.
Limerick was named as the tenth best city for singles by travel website Big Seven after they conducted a survey of their travellers.
The survey considered various elements of a city, including overall population, the amount of single people, the quality of the dating scene, data from dating apps and how many people use those apps.
All these activities and opportunities for single people gave each city an overall ranking, and as well as Limerick in tenth place, Irish cities Dublin, 13th, Belfast, 29th, and Galway, 42nd, all made the top 50.
In fact, Limerick has the second highest Tinder users in the world given the population of the city. There are also plenty of great places to go and meet new people, and the locals are always welcoming and warm to newcomers.
So, if you are considering a solo trip to Ireland in the future, and don’t want to stuck feeling like a third wheel everywhere you go then Limerick could be the destination for you.
The best city in the world for single was Stockholm, Sweden, followed by Spanish capital Madrid, and Norwegian capital Oslo.
