A video from YouTube chefs Foodoppi shows how to make a leprechaun cake and it could be a perfect end to any St Patrick’s Day meal.

The video goes by very quickly but all the information you need is there – you may need to pause the action more than once.

Recipe for leprechaun cake

Once you have all the information you will be ready to make a delicious sponge cake with the obligatory Irish twist of the mischievous leprechaun.

For the Cake

3 large eggs
85g caster sugar
85g plain flour
3 kiwis- peeled and sliced
250ml double cream – whipped
1 tin of mandarin oranges -drained

For Leprechaun Pattern

1 large egg white
40g icing sugar
40g plain flour
20g butter – melted
Food colouring – Green, orange, black, pink and white
