David O’Doherty is one of the most successful comedians to come out of Ireland in the last decade.
He won the Channel 4 So You Think You’re Funny award in 1999 and was nominated for the Perrier Award for Best Newcomer the following year at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
O’Doherty has toured around the world as a stand-up comedian, and his acts usually include musical performances of his songs on his electronic keyboard.
He has appeared on British comedy panel shows such as QI, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Never Mind the Buzzcocks and Would I Lie To You?
O’Doherty also became the first Irish comedian to host his own show of Comedy Central Presents on American television.
