A woman in her 40s has died after a fall on a mountain in Co Kerry.
It is understood she was with a group of hillwalkers on Stradbally Mountain near the Dingle Peninsula when the accident happened at about 2pm.
Valentia Coast Guard confirmed that she died from her injuries.
Despite high winds in the area, which hampered rescue efforts, the woman’s body was recovered and has been taken to Kerry General Hospital where a post mortem examination will take place.
