Gardai investigating deaths of man and boy found close to Dublin's Royal Canal

The bodies of a man and a young boy have been discovered in a stream close to the Royal Canal in Dublin, gardai said.
A passer-by came across the remains in shallow water near a railway line at an an area known as Ashington Green in Ashtown.

It is believed the man was aged in his 30s and detectives are working to establish the identity of the pair.
They may have lived locally.
Gardai were called to the scene shortly after 3pm.
Early indications do not suggest anything suspcious but investigators are trying to determine the full cirumstances and whether the deaths were the result of a tragic accident.
