100 jobs created as engineering firm LotusWorks announces Sligo expansion

One hundred jobs are to be created with the expansion of an engineering firm in Sligo, it has been announced.
LotusWorks said 50 engineer and technician positions will be filled over the next six months.

Another 50 recruits are promised by the end of next year.
The company said the roles will be highly skilled.
Founded in 1989 and based in Sligo, it already employs 470 people.
Tony McLoughlin, TD for Sligo-Leitrim, said the jobs will be a major boost for the county.
“I am delighted to see this local business going from strength to strength and today’s announcement is a further boost to Sligo and its local economy,” he said.
“The announcement by LotusWorks is a strong endorsement of the skilled workforce, facilities and services available in the Sligo area and proof that our town can continue to attract investment and jobs.”
