Ballinacurra House has been named the best wedding venue in Ireland

Any Irish couples who are planning a wedding, or those from overseas thinking about tying the knot in Ireland should take note.

The best wedding venues in Ireland have been revealed at the 2017 weddingsonline Awards.

The big winner on the night was Cork’s Ballinacurra House, which was named the best wedding venue in Ireland.

Ballinacurra House, in Kinsale, is a luxury private estate set within a walled garden and 40 acres of woodlands and lawns.

It also won the Exclusive Venue of the Year award.

The black tie gala ceremony took place at Clontarf Castle and was hosted by actress and Dancing with the Stars contestant Aoibhín Garrihy.

Other big winners included Barberstown Castle in Kildare, which was named Castle Venue of the Year and Co. Leitrim’s The Landmark hotel, which won the Waterside Venue of the Year award.

The top hotel venues in each province were as follows; Radisson Blu Hotel and Spa, Sligo (Connaught), Rathsallagh Country House (Leinster), Garryvoe Hotel (Munster) and Lough Eske Castle (Ulster).

The ceremony also rewarded companies that excelled in several different aspects of creating a perfect wedding day such as; bridalwear, groomswear, jewellery, photography, cake design, entertainment.
