An pair of unfortunate car salesmen were victims to a comical prank by Irish rugby star Rob Kearney as he locked them both in a car for a test drive and let his behaviour run away with him.
Kearney was being told what to say and do by his team-mates Peter O’Mahony and Robbie Henshaw as well as RTÉ presenter Aidan Power.
The Irish full back, who stands 6ft 2 and weighs in at more than 14 stone, took a test drive in the new Audi Q7, which was being secretly filmed by a hidden camera in the car.
The poor salesman looked more than a little concerned as Kearney began to motivate himself by declaring: “I am Robbie Kearney. I am rugby!”
He then went on to say that he was a bear, a tiger, a shark and a lion before roaring at his unsuspecting passenger.
Kearney is then told in his earpiece to “do a Conor McGregor impression”.
He immediately recites one of the Ultimate Fighting Star’s most famous lines: “I like to look good, I like to whoop ass.”
The poor car salesman is lost for words, and possibly a little intimidated by the imposing Kearney.
The journey also includes the repeated circling of a roundabout, and questions about whether or not SatNav is judgmental. Kearney ends the test drive by arguing that he would win a fight with Irish sports legend Brian O’Driscoll, and getting out of the car to push it to prove how strong he is is.
Kearney is currently in preparations with the rest of the Irish team for the upcoming World Cup. Their first game will take place on 19th September against Canada.
