Violent road rage incident caught on camera

A shocking road rage incident took place in Northern Ireland recently, with one angry driver punching another to the ground.

The violent exchange was captured on video by another motorist, and the video has been posted online.

The incident occurred at a junction of the Northway in Portadown last Friday afternoon.

The video shows a man in a high-vis jacket chasing a red car on foot. When he reached the car he punches and kicks it, prompting the driver to get out and square up for a fight.

As the second man emerges from his car, he is visibly older and less physical than his rival.

The man in the high-vis lands a punch on the older man knocking him to the ground.

The fallen man staggers back to his feet and tried to continue the fight, but thankfully a group of other motorists got out of their cars to break it up.

The incident was reported to the police who are investigating.

A PSNI spokesperson said at: “The male driver of a car was allegedly struck in the face by the driver of an articulated lorry close to the junction shortly before 4pm.

“A 59-year-old man was subsequently treated in hospital for a cut lip. Police are now investigating the matter.”
