Irishman proposes to girlfriend in most romantic way ever

An Irishman stunned and delighted his girlfriend with an extravagant marriage proposal that took weeks to plan.
James Barry or Co Waterford wanted to pop the question to his childhood sweetheart of 13 years Orla Gallagher, and he wanted to make it special.

So, he enlisted the help of sand artist Sean Cororan to write “Orla, will you marry me?” in an enormous heart on Stradbally Cove, Co Waterford.
To add to the drama, as James revealed his romantic request to Orla, a brass band circled the heart playing Matrimony by Gilbert O’Sullivan.
The sand had been marked with a faint ‘yes’ written below the question, for Orla to walk over if she wanted to accept James’ proposal.
Thankfully, she did and the happy couple have become mini-celebrities online this week thanks to their romantic story.
Professional wedding photographer Alan Magner was there to capture the magical moment, and has posted the pictures on his Instagram page.
