Irish island could be sold for as little as €100,000

If so then Duvillaun Beg Island, Belmullet, off the coast of Co Mayo could be just the place for you. It is one of a cluster of islands known as Duvillaun and is up for auction on 16 September. The reserve price is only €100,000 so it be real bargain for some lucky buyer.
The island covers nearly 60 acres of agricultural land. It is around 2.4km away from the mainland and accessible by boat from Blacksod Pier.
It is part of the town of Belmullet which has a population of around 1,000 people.
Beg Island is part of the Wild Atlantic Way tourist trail. It is also close to Fallmore Beach as well as the Crane golf course links and several bars and restaurants.
It could be an ideal get-away for someone who is looking to escape the stress of big-city life.
