Youth disco criticised for strict dress code for girls
A youth disco event has come under criticism after they posted a message of strict guidelines about how they expect teenage girls to be dressed.
The young party goers have been told they will not be allowed into the venue if they are wearing dresses that are shorter than knee length or that have ‘plunging necklines’.
The rules have been the source of some controversy online, with some supporting the organisers for their moral conduct, but others criticising them for telling young people how to dress.
Fusion Ball is nightclub event for 15-year-olds and over that will take place in Kilkenny next week. The doors open at 9pm and the event finishes at midnight.
The Fusion Ball post behind the debate shows glamorous clothing models in low cut and short dresses with the word ‘NO’ written across them.
You can seen the post below. Do you think they are right to set these guidelines?
