Generous seven-year-old donates to homeless in Dublin, and sends a covering letter

A kind-hearted seven-year-old boy from Dublin has captured the imagination of the public with a donation and a short message to help homeless people in the capital.
The generous young man is named Linnet and sent a €5 donation to the Dublin Simon Community along with this heartfelt note.

Hi,
My name is Linnet. I am 7, here is some money to help people with no homes. I’m glad that they are getting money with the help of some people.
Thanks for helping them.
Sorry if a fiver isn’t much help.
All the best,
Linnet

The team at Dublin Simon posted the note on to their Instagram page and thanked Linnet for his generous gesture. They also assured him that his money would make a big difference to someone who has no place to call home.
Dublin Simon Community is an organisation that aims to tackle the homeless crisis in Dublin and the surrounding areas.
They offer help to homeless people at each stage of their journey to find a permanent place to live.
