A young Irish musician blew the crowd away with a brilliant solo performance on the bodhrán.
Young Sean Maguire was on stage with his two sisters Aoife and Emma and their dad Philip. Together they make up the Maguire family band and they regularly perform at weddings and other social occasions.
Sean was just 10 years old when he delivered this stunning solo on the bodhrán. As one online commenter posted: “This boy is rhythm personified!”
The rest of the family put down their instruments midway through one of their performances and let Sean take centre stage.
He beat his drum with great skill and the rhythmic beat had his audience transfixed on him.
He kept varying the rhythm to keep it engaging and displayed his incredible talent and composure, especially for someone so young.
Sean’s family sat alongside him beaming with pride and also admiration for the stunning skills.
The solo lasted a full two minutes before Aoife, Emma and Philip joined in again. The audience response was amazing as they cheered and applauded Sean for his incredible solo display.
