BAT-ten down the hatches – intruder terrorises Kerry family

There was pandemonium in a household in Kerry as a family tried to capture an unwanted nocturnal intruder.
The trouble started when a bat flew into the backdoor of the Fleming family home and caused panic among the humans inside.

Tadhg Fleming took up the most important position – at the back of the room filming the whole incident on his phone.

As Tadhg filmed, his father ran around the house chasing the bat.
He armed himself with a towel, which unfortunately was far too small. He grabbed himself a bigger towel and continued to chase the bat around the room.
Elsewhere Tadhg’s mother was hiding behind the door and the family dog let everyone know exactly what he thought of the situation.
There was plenty of shouting and swearing and some hilarious commentary from the not-so-helpful cameraman.
Thankfully the father managed to get the bat out of the house with no injury caused to either man nor beast – and he looked very pleased with himself.
